¡¡HOLY SHIT!! THE KING AND QUEEN OF GASOLINE IS FINALLY OUT 🔥 👑 👑 🖤 This ep was 100x harder to produce than IJWK due to only having a couple of months to write, record and mix these tracks, but it still holds some of my favourite tracks to date. We’ve always worked well under pressure and it forced me to experiment and try out things I’ve not done before, like recording a choir for TKAQOG, and Chloroform / Nightmares (ie layering myself singing the same part with different harmonies in different accents...), using industrial percussive soundscapes that compliment the live drums and really pushing for different combinations of vocal harmonies. We also collaborated with a couple of other artists on the record, my auntie Debbie recorded the intro piano part in TKAQOG, I had a zoom recording session with @yuri_villar for the insane sax solo in The Secret to Saying Goodbye and of course what’s a Hot Milk EP without @harryfausingsmith taking my midi string scores and turning them into emotional, orchestral masterpieces.
