Downward dog arched split. ✨
To work towards a horizontal straight legged, work on hip extensions, hip flexors and hamstrings flexibilities.
HOW?
Warm up poses:
1. Front split & oversplit
2. Hip flexor stretches (low lunge)
3. Quads and calves stretches (bow)
Start in a shorter downward dog with the back foot turned inwards. Grab hold of your top leg and begin to push with your bottom arm as you push back deep into the hip flexors whilst extending the top leg to the front.
