Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association is honored to share with you our 2020 Annual Report. 💜 Two years have already passed, but one would be hard-pressed to forget the level of uncertainty and worry our world felt when the COVID-19 pandemic hit that March. Especially affected by this health crisis were pregnant mothers, some of whom were expecting for the very first time. As doctor’s visits shifted to virtual platforms and our doulas rooted themselves in telehealth support, #BMBFA looked for ways to make the transition to online spaces easier on our mothers, from continuing breastfeeding classes without interruption to attending virtual births and still advocating for mamas in the delivery room.
