Last week when back home in LA I opened a trove of old videos that had been transferred. Back then we would record them and then never look at them again, until in this case, 38 years later. So I now regard these for what they are, a perfect time capsule. Watching them I learned a little bit about myself, watching from the 3rd person vantage with the space of a remarkably long period of time. I saw here that absolutely nothing has changed about my visual aesthetic since I directed my dad and Betty Boop in this clip.
