In 2005, I entered the 3rd year of my coaching career at JMU and will always be thankful for the opportunity given to me by @coachbrooksfam. I met my husband, formed countless friendships, and coached some of the most amazing women I have ever met. This weekend personified my “why” in coaching as we were invited back by @thedawnraven as she was inducted into the JMU Hall of Fame. I was so blessed to be reunited with so many folks that helped me make who I am today. This group won a LOT of games and not one time did we talk about their record. We laughed, cried happy tears, and remembered all the amazing moments that came during my 5 years in Harrisonburg. Now I beam with pride as they become actresses, WNBA superstars, head coaches, mothers, wives, and inspirations to everyone they meet. To still call them family and the ability to say I played even a small part in all their journeys beats any win. Congratulations Dawn (and Kenny) for your induction! Thank you for hours of laughter which led to pure exhaustion the next day. I love you all!! Keep shining!! 💜
