The livelihoods of over three billion people are linked to marine and coastal biodiversity. Projects that reduce pollution, restore habitats and protect endangered species help preserve them: Through a new partnership with @nature_org we support four projects across Asia Pacific, which aim to safeguard wildlife species and replenish shellfish reefs, one of the world’s most critically endangered marine ecosystems. In the US, the @billionoyster project engages students in restoring oyster reefs to New York Harbor. And our Waterways Protection project with @hellohubbub aims to prevent plastics from polluting the seas through hands-on action and education in London and Birmingham. We also teamed up with @wwfitalia to fund a rehabilitation centre for endangered sea turtles.
