#PhotographerFriday - @levijpg Meet Levi Thompson from Liberia, Africa. He got in to concert photography by having the opportunity to photograph Mac Miller on behalf of the radio station he worked for. After that show he was hooked and has since shot artists like Pusha T, Chance The Rapper, Young Thug & Vince Staples. His advice to aspiring music photographers is this: “What’s most important is shooting as much as you can at local shows in your area that you can get your camera into. Also, being a good person who people like to be around and form genuine friendships with people. The talented photographer who’s really nice and easy to work with will most times get the jobs over the talented photographer who’s maybe arrogant and rubs people the wrong way. Put yourself out there and eventually you’ll connect with other photographers, artists, promoters, etc. You never know where your next opportunity will come from.
