How cool is this photo taken by our extraordinary stills photographer @aaronepstein during a crazy Saturday?(July 31st, if my memory serves me correctly) This was a highlight of my makeup applications on the show, as Makeup Designer extraordinaire @nancyhennah was kind enough to grace me with the task of applying the “title” makeup of the chest carved sailor that opens Ep 105. I’ve never done a makeup for a titles before!!!! Built and made with perfection by the gems at @vincentvandykefx this makeup was so much fun! This one camera shot opening included a man on fire running and jumping off the side of the ship, Stede and Lucius actually conversing and moving underneath said man on fire, whilst doing a well-orchestrated dance with the camera operator and his guys, another man getting his arm cut off in camera (complete with blood rig - @bryan.blair.1650 also delicately moving around the camera crew after the forearm pops off blood gag), stunts akimbo and just general mayhem. All ending in a gentle pan/zoom into our wonderful carved chest man’s display of the show’s title. It’s was a crazy day. We had many crazy days but this one is up there for sure. So grateful. And also a tad excited as here is a rare documentation of me on the show!!!!
