this sweet & beautiful lil lady here is my grandma, i call her mimi/mama chris, she’s my mama’s mom. happy new year from the home of my sweet grandma my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018. since the year of her diagnosis, bits of her memories have stayed with her and she recognized us from time to time, but as of now, she doesn’t really know who I am, or anyone in our family really. it’s so hard to understand and comprehend that, especially as i’m sitting right next to her, just really hurts and sucks. she’s incredible. mom and i have been going through her stuff, and we found so many polaroids, photo albums of her at parties when she was out here wildin’ haha, it’s unreal. she has such a huge influence on my life, especially when i moved from home to go to college. this year we spent New Years together watching the rocky marathon lol, i did some light yard work and sat on this chair, she doesn’t remember me but when she looks at me and smiles i feel like even a small part of her is still in there. i’m praying for more moments like this, this year, where i can just come to my grandmas house and sit next to her. the last photo is my grandma back in the day, look how groovy and foxy she was haha i love that photo so much. i love her so much. i hope you all are doing alright.
