It was a pleasure to shoot the exceptional @denny623 in The Bestiary Jacket @a.e.r_a.r.t x @yourlocalforestlady The Bestiary is a jacket inscribed in rust. Artist Aleks Rogalewicz painted directly onto tannin-treated cotton twill with an iron solution, conjuring horned creatures and chimeric figures that flow across the fabric like tattoos. Designed and sewn by Selina Vesely, the garment is finished with cotton thread and handmade ceramic buttons. Grounded in tactile craft yet born from elemental chemistry, the piece expands natural dye traditions into new territory - a fusion of Vesely’s practice and Rogalewicz’s dark, mythic imagery.
