DEADLINE EXTENDED 📣 We're accepting submissions to our two open calls for hybrid and cross-genre manuscripts through October 31st!⁠ ⁠ We're looking for in-progress work to consider for the Carolyn Bush Award, which honors the life and work of Wendy's Subway's co-founder Carolyn Bush (1990-2016) and seeks to provide in-depth editorial and professional support to an emerging writer in her name.⁠ ⁠ We're also looking for full-length manuscripts by authors at any stage of their career for our Open Reading Period, which will be guest judged this year by poet and educator Asiya Wadud (@asiyawadud)⁠ ⁠ Asiya Wadud is the author of several collections of poems, including day pulls down the sky/ a filament in gold leaf (written with Okwui Okpokwasili) and No Knowledge Is Complete Until It Passes Through My Body. Her recent writing appears in e-flux journal, BOMB Magazine, Poem-a-Day, Triple Canopy and elsewhere. She also regularly collaborates with Fortnight Institute to write exhibition texts. Asiya’s work has been supported by the Foundation Jan Michalski, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Danspace Project, Finnish Cultural Institute of New York, Mount Tremper Arts, and Kunstenfestivaldesarts, among others. She lives in Brooklyn, New York where she teaches poetry at Saint Ann’s School and Columbia University.⁠ ⁠ Submissions accepted via Submittable.
