Yesterday (because of the time difference), I woke up thinking about Women’s Day back home and how it’s going to be “celebrated”, while looking through my phone and realized how different Women’s Day is embraced around the world. There.. There were some lovely souls, sharing memories of the past years, marching through the streets of San Francisco, big smiles, feeling passionate about the cause they are supporting and see how it can help the world.. On the other side of the world; The headline reads: Another “Honor Killing” A Woman was killed by her family.. why you ask? Because this woman was living peacefully being fully herself. Embracing herself. A human. I clicked on that news post and went to the comment section and saw multiple comments objecting and feeling very angry and sad about this matter but I also saw a few.. that said; she probably deserved it.. Good, one less.. they had a right, look she has a cigarette in her hand in this photo.. etc. These people can easily be the next to think of doing such a horrible, inhumane thing..
