Really excited to share this news. This is a team that we feel can truly tell Dilla’s story in a beautiful way, in the way that he deserves. To have influence and impact that extends forever, to literally change the way we listen to and the way we make music..it is a transformational story. We can’t wait to dive in. All of us knew or met or worked with Dilla in some way, shape or form. And so it was important to us that we set this up in a way that brings the Estate and Dilla’s four heirs into the fold. It’s a longer but better path. Honored to work with @questlove - the man who first introduced me to Dilla; with @dcharnas - who literally wrote the text; with our new friends @scenariomed1a who have the chops to make this special (and back in the mix with the ever wonderful @_anupa). As well as the champs, @zarahzohlman and @twoonefive and my team at Cinetic (@katerwitz). Shoutout to @nowagain too for being so selfless and supportive of our vision.).
