For much of the 19th century, Surry Hills was on the fringes of the city and was used for cattle grazing. - State Library of NSW, SSV1/St/Cro/1 2️⃣ Completed in 1859, Crown Street Reservoir is the oldest water supply reservoir still in use in Australia.
