The Samburu are semi-nomadic pastoralists who live and depend on their breeds of livestock- cattle, goats, sheep, donkeys and recently camels...they also have a symbiotic relationship with elephants often relying on elephants to source ground water during droughts. They always leave the elephants a little love once they tap the water source. We had the pleasure of camping under the full moon sharing a meal and stories about their traditions & hopes for the future. It was a night that will go down in the books!
