I have felt very conflicted in my emotions about the passing of the late queen, Queen Elizabeth II. I have felt confused with how to feel and not being able to put my finger on why that is (however obvious it is) but these pictures sum it up for me perfectly. Two worlds living side by side. On the very same day in London, 100's of people turned out for the reading of the proclamation of the new king, King Charles III yet a stones throw away 100's of people turned out to protest the unlawful shooting and killing of Chris Kaba an unarmed black man at the hands of the metropolitan police service. Some how these two separate events taking place a stones throw away put exactly how I feel into perspective. Whilst the King was signing the declaration and creating a trust in front of members of parliament, the present prime minister and the former prime ministers, just a stones throw away in parliament square the march for #justiceforchriskaba began. The irony! This broke my heart when i deeped it. The people are still suffering at the hands of the Met and there's no accountability. The trust between the Met and the people has been broken. The fact there's two very different worlds and realities simultaneously living side by side. I can only hope and pray that this new reign will be different. #justice4chriskaba #politics #londoncity #metropolitanpolice #blacklivesmatter #nojusticenopeace #chriskaba #royalproclamation #scotlandyard #housesofparliament #newscotlandyard #newmonarch #britishmonarchy #godsavetheking #stjamespalace #proclamation #declaration #royaloath
