Despite being a young artist, @jeanclaracq’s undeniable talent has made him gain recognition in the art industry, having his works exhibited in important venues like Galerie Sultana, or Fondation Louis Vuitton, and creating his first fashion collaboration with the renowned designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin. Claracq focuses his attention on talking about political, economic, and environmental issues through his art, usually from a teenage view and queer perspective.
"I’m not sure I would define myself as a queer artist. I think there’s a strong political statement in my work, but I’m more focused on [themes related to] economics, political and environmental issues. I’m a gay artist for sure, that’s obvious, but I think that it’s rare that in my works the political topic gets eclipsed by homosexuality."
