We love this flashback to the early days of Farm Sanctuary! In 1986, Farm Sanctuary was a grassroots, all-volunteer activist organization that rescued farm animals who were abandoned or left for dead. Before we established our sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York, @GeneBaur and the team lived in a school bus on a tofu farm that had transitioned from a dairy farm.
