Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club, recently hosted another tech demo for its upcoming metaverse experience called The Otherside. The Otherside is being developed by Improbable - a British metaverse company with over 1,000 employees and $500M in funding. 4,500 people joined the tech demo, with no latency issues - an incredible accomplishment for a browser-based game. We're all familiar with Fortnite, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and all of the other incredible games played by hundreds of millions of people around the world. Now, imagine Minecraft, except the global player base plays on ONE single server. That is where the Otherside, and other future gaming experiences are heading. Now, you start understanding why virtual land has become so popular. Think of it as immersive advertising space. In a gaming environment with tens of millions of players on one global server & map - you start to begin to understand why central, well-located virtual land plots can become so extremely valuable. Videos from Twitter users Jergg.eth and hotlneblng.eth. What do you think of Yuga Labs' Otherside? Let us know below!
