Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited our beautiful territory in 1966. This visit played a significant role in our Tourism industry as it was the opening of the bridge (named in her honour) that connects our international airport on Beef Island to the main island of Tortola. The Queen Elizabeth Bridge has since been rebuilt to accommodate heavier traffic flow but still stands as a commemoration of her visit.
