Went into my archives to find the interview I did with Bill Russell back in 2016. The audio is gone, but I’ve still got my notes and a rough transcript. When I asked Russell about why he chose to be so outspoken and join civil rights causes he responded with an extremely thoughtful mediation on family, legacy and pride. RIP
