Insta vs reality ✨ #outtakeswitheleanor
Swipe for September’s outtakes ➡️ This month I thought I’d talk how posing, lighting & angles can make two pictures look very different - and why you shouldn’t worry 🫶
1️⃣ Tensing vs relaxed (pics 1 &2) - you can see what a difference tensing can make to muscles - my tensed quads look very different to relaxed quads, and that’s okay! Nobody’s muscles look toned and flexed 24/7.
2️⃣ Posed vs candid (pics 3 & 4) - we can very cleverly angle our bodies to highlight our “best bits” and hide our insecurities. You can see how different my tummy & hip dips look when I pose versus a candid pic. Remember everything our bodies do for us everyday - we should learn to love all of our bits 🫶
3️⃣ Sunlight and shadows (pic 5) - angling our bodies side on from sunlight can cast shadows on our bodies and create the appearance of defined abs. Remember women naturally have higher body fat % than men and so it is harder for us to have abs - and that’s okay! Abs are not an indicator of health!!!
4️⃣ Perspective (pic 6) - full body pictures further away from the camera look very different to close up angles - can make you look taller & slimmer, and imperfections are less clear. Remember this the next time you see a magazine or model pic - clever angles make all the difference.
