Did You Know That? #7 A new production, a new success – In Dubious Battle 2016 is the year of “In Dubious Battle”, the new movie by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, produced in collaboration with James Franco and his Rabbit Bandini Productions and That’s Hollywood Pictures. The movie, directed and starred by James Franco as a lead actor, is inspired by novel of the same name, written by John Steinbeck, awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1936 (translated into Italian by Eugenio Montale with the title “La Battaglia”). It counts on actors like Nat Wolff, Selena Gomez, Josh Hutcherson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Sam Shepard and Ashley Greene as lead actors. Presented out of competition at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, this new project has been awarded Mimmo Rotella Foundation Prize for Best Direction by James Franco as well as for Best Production by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi. It was later presented at the Deauville American Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.
