On our last day of vacation, my dad asked me if Christos and I wanted to run an errand with him, so we all hopped in the car. When we got to our destination I realized that I still had my slippers on and Christos was wearing his pj top. It was 2pm. This is pretty indicative of the last month. Carefree, no makeup, checking work email off and on, beach trips and boat rides. Pushing Christos on the swing (usually with a glass of wine). Not a bad way to spend August. It’s always gut wrenching to leave and soon enough reality will set in. But at least I have a host of memories to keep me going for the next 11 months until I return.
