Week 1️⃣ - yana marumba (which means ‘Walk Good’ in Quandamooka language) is the hero of our first week. Walking into our first week of the biggest Wynnum Fringe yet with a strong sense of the thousands of years worth of history our festival is taking place on. The people who came before and a gesture to walking into the future as one, diverse, inclusive community. Featured events in week one that carry this theme are our Opening Ceremony (of the same name) which features a giant puppet created by Memetica, and the Elders Tent (a chance for locals to come and yarn with an elder and learn about our rich history).
