Happy father’s day, dad. This is a movie called Big Red One, dad shot in 1979 in Israel, Ireland and the states. It’s based on writer/director Sam Fuller’s experiences fighting Nazis in N. Africa and liberating the concentration camps in Europe. He plays a character named Griff based on Sam’s friend who fought oversees and was killed. My parents actually didn’t name me after his character or the real life person, per se... they found the name in a baby book, years later. @markhamill
