At the beginning of 2022, I created a vision board to help me become more mindful and focused on the things I wanted to accomplish for the year. I’ve always believed that a plan is only a plan if it’s on paper. I wanted something tangible that would be a daily reminder to be intentional about the things that were important to me and to continue to make steps towards reaching my goals. I’ve always been aware of God’s providence in my life and the dreams he’s put in my heart, but never more than I have in the last couple of years. I had a specific goal involving a photo shoot that I had organized and made it part of my vision board. It seemed like a long shot, but I’ve learned never to underestimate what God can do. I’ve also learned that if God puts a dream in your heart, he knows what you need, when you need it and how to get to you what is needed to bring that dream to fruition. I did reach my goal, only the reward was far more than I expected. I think God shows up in big ways to remind us of his goodness and of his love for us. I’ve been fortunate to have the support and encouragement of @chicagostyleweddings, the premier wedding magazine due to their unparalleled dedication to the couples they serve and for supporting industry experts in their pursuit of excellence. Not only is our styled shoot the very first to be in the magazine as a vendor, but I was also given the opportunity to write an article to coordinate with the photos of our work. I’m so proud to be a Featured Writer in their latest issue, where my article titled Before You Say “I Do” is highlighted, along with the images from our shoot. I’m so proud of the nearly 30 artists on my team and the passion they have for their work, only surpassed by their love of people. This photo shoot features eight talented artists and the wonderful vendors who participated in this project.
