I’ve wanted to interview @maureeturnerok for @whataday for some time. They are the nation’s first openly nonbinary state lawmaker and the first Muslim member of Oklahoma’s legislature — a legislature that, like many others, has passed/is passing anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ laws.
