The Galette des Rois is a French puff pastry cake filled with frangipane. It is traditionally being eaten on the day of the Epiphany (January 6) to commemorate the day when the three Kings Gaspard, Melchior and Balthasar paid a visit to Baby Jesus. Hidden in the pastry is a small porcelain figure.
