Thank you all for all of the lovely birthday wishes (especially yours @smartest73 for singing to me on DM!)! I’ve been a little bit too busy to think about this trip around the sun, but I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than help make other people’s dreams come true on my birthday! Congratulations to our CLASS OF 2022 for @oneshothairawards! You know, there’s a big difference between good and great. Great always does what good is unwilling to do. Greatness is not reserved for the chosen few. It’s reserved for the few who choose it. The point of life is to give it all you’ve got. When you have a gift, it’s your responsibility to make the best of it and to make the best of yourself. My whole life I have tried to push myself and others to push their own boundaries beyond whatever they thought possible. When you move the finish line just a little bit further down the road on what you believe is possible, you find the greatness in yourself. Greatness does not happen in comfort. It happens in the pain caused by the courage to keep pushing yourself beyond places most of the people around you never dreamed that you’d arrive at. But that’s what greatness is. It’s chasing a dream that nobody understands but you. So, on my birthday, I’d like to thank each of you for giving me the gift of your courage. It is the most beautiful gift this “small town girl made good” could ever ask for! ❤️
