So a few weeks back one of my oldest and dearest friends hit me up just to hang out. Just chilling cracking jokes the tone changed and she expressed to me she has breast cancer. This was a blow, to say the least! We grow together and shared so many experiences. I couldn’t imagine a world where her heart and kindness and punch lines wasn’t in it. Her being the tough as nails woman that she is, she gave me that strong it’s all good face. I could see past that façade and see my friend of years fighting to hold it together. My homie whom I love and care about very much needs help. She needs Community. Personally as I support her really see what that “WORD” means.
