Personal post: my husband and I are moving (hopefully in November) and we are getting house ready to sell and it has been a lot. I am coming to terms with the fact that I like disorganized chaos and that if I put something in a drawer, I will never look at it again. But to have the house ready for photos and open houses, all of my stuff has to be hidden away. When I was in my 20s, I moved every other year, so I didn’t own a lot of stuff. Plus, I was a retail manager, so I couldn’t afford a lot of things either. I’ve lived in this house for 10 years and it is big so I have accumulated a lot of stuff and although purging feels great, it’s amazing how much my tastes have changed. in just under two weeks, our house will be on the market and I am equal parts, excited and trepidatious. Here’s to hoping that all of my packing in August will lead to an excellent and easy next 10 days. all that to ask: do you want to see our new house and the decorating inspiration?
