Described as “the secret love child of Andy Warhol and Anni Albers,” Oriane Stender (@orianestender) is a Brooklyn-based artist working primarily with painting and traditional weaving. Through the unique process of weaving the paint directly into these "woven paintings," as she refers to them, Stender creates objects that are read and experienced through multiple layers and contexts depending on the viewer's perspective.
