.... since I was a kid I’ve wanted to cover this song. In fact, in some level I think I’ve always been trying to write a lyric that was as powerful as this. There’s such an ache in these words and in this song - it’s this overpowering / crippling sense of loss and nostalgia at the same time. It’s been my life obsession to do this song justice - but for some reason I’m more nervous to release this than my own music - maybe because I’ve chased it for so long? 🤷🏼‍♂️ but TODAY, some 28 years later - it’s finally out and released to the universe.
