Unfathomable and devastating. Steph, my warrior sister, i really can’t believe the world has lost you... but your life was nothing short of a TRIUMPH. I’m not even sure what to write because this doesn’t feel real. But I’ll just ramble, as we did to each other when you needed distraction from the anxieties of the protocols and hospitals and cancer bullshit. To watch you soar, achieve your dreams on broadway, leap, and FIGHT to the end has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Of all of our lives. You have been that sister who has uplifted me even at the times when it was you who needed and deserved every bit of encouragement. You were the most patient teacher. Thank you for teaching me to be passionate and joyful and confident in dance again. Every high kick is for you from now on. You truly danced from your soul, laughed from your heart, and pushed through every and any ache and pain to get to the next show or the next surgery. And now Im sobbing again while typing this, not only because of how lonely and scary every moment of every day has been for you these past years, but because I am so grateful that you are finally at the place of rest and peace and light that you have always deserved. You stayed strong for so long. The angels are so damn lucky to have the hottest coolest new choreographer in the heavens. Youre a true goddess. You will inspire me and all of us who got to experience your brilliant energy forever. I can’t believe you’re gone. I’m heartbroken in every way. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more for you, when your friendship has meant everything to me. I love you Steph.
