Ay mi Nena, friendships shouldn’t be hard and if they are, we need new friends. Friends respect each other for who they are. They may disagree with each other, but with respect, trust & love they can talk about how they feel and work things out. But I’ve learned that friends that can’t be honest with themselves can’t be honest you. Sometimes when advice is asked for, and you give it, it might not be received well. I’m not perfect, I have made mistakes in friendships. But remember this I’d rather slap you with the truth then to kiss you with a lie. Which leads me to this... Who would prefer a friend’s wounds to an Enemy’s Kiss? 💋 Anyone who considers the source. A friend who has your best interest at heart may have to give you unpleasant advice at times, but you know it is for your own good. An enemy, by contrast, May whisper, sweet words, and happily send you on your way to Ruin. We tend to hear what we want to hear, even if an enemy is the only one who will say it. A Friends advice, no matter how painful, is much better.
