I want to talk briefly about Petrichor, as it tends to cause the most confused reactions of all my perfumes, but it also has the most diehard fans. Most people who smell it say it doesn’t smell like classic petrichor - it’s not really warm, damp, earthy, or green. The reason for this is that to me, petrichor evokes cold, wet stone, dirt, thick air, with some sort of elusive sweetness. It’s not green to me. But this is the beauty of scent, the way our olfactive associations are our direct experiences. @mirandajuly said this one smells like an expensive airplane bathroom, which honestly, is somehow not wrong... dare I say... I also make most of my perfumes in my own collection from a place of personal preference, and I love old-fashioned, powdery vintage perfumes. So yes, this one does smell a bit “old”(fashioned), as do many of my perfumes. Anyway, I really appreciate this @fragranticaofficial review! Comment below with your thoughts if you’ve tried it!
