The BASIC SQUAT tutorial for beginners

1. Feet roughly shoulder width apart. Everyone is different! I’ve seen beautifully executed squats on a world class stage with feet narrow (under the hips) and feet somewhat wide - slightly outside shoulders. Personal preference 🤝
2. Feet remain planted to the floor! Always 😈
3. Please don’t turn your toes IN and push you knee way OUT to iNcREaSe ToRqUe 🫠. The only thing your increasing is your risk of tearing your meniscus.
4. Take a breath in and brace through the midline using that pressure to lock everything in place.
5. Aim for full range but only if mobility and flexibility allow you. The more reps the range you’ll unlock over time.
