The best thing you can try to do is to influence a safe environment to just be, to allow whatever is asking to come out, to be released . 😓 I am sad I dont know what to do I feel stuck I feel lost I feel scared I feel unloved I feel I don't know I feel I am not good enough. . ❤A safe environment means the outer environment calm & the environemnt you create, are they emotionally safe to express without you reacting? . 😳That can be a source of fear, of when they tell you something you relate that to you. Like . 🤨Ah you think I am not trying? 🤨This is my fault? 🤨I'm doing me best! Or trying to fix before they've released😓 . 😔The fear will be about how you react to how they feel & that you are deciding this means something bad about you. Try not to react. It may not mean that. 💭We cannot tell what a person is thinking, the only way we can tell is if we ask, but if they are afraid to say then ok, in time if we create a safe environment & tell them 🗣it will be ok if you said. They might tell us. . ❤Until then the more they feel safe to just be, the more chance they will open up. . ⭕Try not to judge, or guess Be around more often, whether that's popping in to say hi, or inviting them to do something simple like a walk. No pressure to do big stuff. . ❤Listen hold hands, allow emotions & words to flow, try not to react but to hold space. . Then ❔What would you like to do? Could we do something simple to start? . ❤I am glad you feel you can tell me, shall we do something to change our mindset for a mini break. . Distract Tea? Film? Walk? Get a cookie? Watch a sunset Bike? Chill? Whats your favorite song? Sitcom? Clothes? Art? People? Etc . Safe Open Allow Comfort Distract something nice . ♻️By this you are showing them how to allow themselves to talk to themselves in the same way. . I am safe I can be open I allow my emotions I feel comforted Distract Now maybe I could look for solutions to the reason I feel the way I feel. .
