—— Want to elope in the mountains? Here’s how 🏔😍👇🏼 Hands down, one of the most popular places for the adventure eloping couple to say their vows is anywhere there’s a jaw-droppingly, beautiful mountain backdrop. But there are some things you’ll definitely want to keep in mind before you head off on a 15-mile hike in your wedding dress. 🥾 Know your hiking level. This is very important because some locations are much longer to get to and more challenging. One mile is VERY different than 16 miles. 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 Know the popularity. Certain times of year will be more popular, just as certain locations within your location may be more popular. The more accessible, the more popular it will be. 🗓 Keep in mind the time of year. There is a very short snow-free season when it comes to the mountains. From July through September will be the best time to go. There’s often still quite a bit of snow and road closures in June. 🌄 What type of scenery do you want? Are you looking for 360 views, forests, wildflower fields, snow-capped peaks, alpine lakes, or waterfalls? 📋 Know what permits you’ll need. This one you absolutely can’t forget. National and state parks and most public land requires them by law. 🏂 What activities would you like to do? The mountains are an outdoor activity lover’s paradise. You could hike to a beautiful looking, have a picnic among wildflowers, stay up to see the stars, or even snowboard/ski down the mountain. I absolutely LOVE mountain elopements and if you’re looking for the right elopement photographer for you, head to the link in my bio and let’s see if we’re a good fit! 🥰 . . . . . #katiebergphoto #washingtonelopementphotographer #washingtonelopement #mountainelopement #mountainwedding #elope #elopementphotographer
