At the heart of the exhibition stands Meok (2024), a towering presence carved from Zimbabwean granite in collaboration with Carrara’s marble artisans. Its engravings evoke Venetian sea waves and the flickering flames of daljip taeugi, while its form recalls the traditional Korean charcoal ink stick used for generations. Meok invites contemplation amidst a space adorned with luminous yellow glass, where moonlit nights blur the lines between reality and another realm. @cenestpasvale @fondationwilmotte @museumsan_official @johyungallery @iicseoul @istitutoculturalecoreano @perrotin @estherschippergallery @fabriano1264 @wearemayvenice #BiennaleArte2024 #StranieriOvunque #ForeignersEverywhere #LeeBae #CollateralEvent #LaMaisondelaLuneBrûlée #MoonhouseBurning #KoreanArt
