Happy first day of TIFF! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This goes out to all of my PR and media counterparts who have been working their butts off leading up to the festival and who will continue to do so for the next 10 days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have worked on a number of epic events like two Olympic Games, multiple MMVAs and The JUNO Awards, but I’ve got to say, there is something really special about the Toronto International Film Festival. The energy around the city is electric, the hottest stars are promoting the most talked about films and the media is just so amped up. It’s a truly magical (and chaotic) time for our industry. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the magic front – I did get to meet one of my all-time favourite actors, Jeffrey Donovan (look up Burn Notice if you haven’t heard of him – you’ll thank me). Although I didn’t get a photo, I did get a very nice, professional hug 😊. He’s actually only the second celeb I’ve ever approached and verbalized my adoration. You have to keep that kind of thing in check in my business. However, I did get a shot of me and jeremyrenner.
