—— Hustle culture is no longer in style and we need to talk about it 🙅‍♀️👇🏼 Our culture glorifies work—if you’re not sleep-deprived, overworked, overbooked, and on the border of burnout, you won’t be successful. It’s easy to be convinced to do more and hustle harder, especially if you grew up in the “rise and grind” generation like I did 🙄 We brag about being #teamnosleep like it’s a badge of honor, chugging way too much caffeine just to get through the day. Don’t even get me started on the impact this mindset had on our mental and physical health. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about working hard, I just don’t glorify it. There’s a time and place for hard work. But there can definitely be a dark side to hustle culture if left unchecked. There was a point in my early 20s when “hustling” was more than just trying to meet a deadline—it had become my entire way of living from the minute I woke up to when I went to bed (if I even did). We need to begin normalizing intentional living again. Because you know what’s really sexy? 🤍Getting enough sleep at night 🤍Making time for friends 🤍Making time for other passions 🤍Drinking enough water 🤍Taking care of your mental AND physical health 🤍Sustainable, balanced, healthy living As an entrepreneur, it can definitely be hard to slip back into that hustle culture mindset and accept that YOU are more than just work. Your business is your baby—I get it!! But your self-worth is tied to more than just the “output” you do in a day and the days of feeling overworked and being overbooked are over. So here’s your reminder that you can still be committed to working hard AND realize there’s more to life than just work. I KNOW you know someone who needs to hear this message, so share this post and comment below if you can relate ✨ . . . . . #katiebergphoto #washingtonelopementphotographer #oregonelopementphotographer #hustleculture #pnwweddingphotographer #pnwelopementphotographer #elopementphotographer
