Did you know? Land use is the second-largest source of emissions globally, behind only the energy sector. Land-clearing activity and intensive farming practices generate emissions, adding toxins to the atmosphere. Land-clearing also destroys habitats and sometimes entire ecosystems, detrimentally impacting the environment and resources that we use every day. Our water, our food, and even our air supply are all impacted by the ecosystem changes caused by land-clearing. Additionally, this unsustainable use of land is making it even harder to meet our global warming targets, particularly due to the removal of trees which are major consumers of carbon (that we have in excess). The good news?
