This year's International Youth Day was particularly memorable for me since in addition to speaking at the UN #IYD2022 event, I joined hundreds of other young people from around the world for the 27th AFS Youth Assembly's spectacular opening ceremony in the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters. The New York City Mayor also proclaimed the day to be AFS Youth Assembly Day in NYC.
