Hands up who hasn't rested in a while.👇 . 🎨@maisiesghost ✒@the_anxiety_wellbeing.coach . No rest, on the go mentally or physically or both is a sign to the brain of danger = anxiety. . If you ever want to exit and anxiety circle. Rest is one way out, the other is to move. . How do I know which one? . if you are fighting/defending something or your day, or thoughts etc. Or avoiding, things, thoughts, problems . Then you need to rest. To give yourbody and then brain signs of safety. . If you feel problems are too much, you feel helpless, lethargic, depressed, = freeze ( protect) you need to move to break the cycle . What if it feels impossible? . Fight/ flight may be consuming something that causes similar reaction to anxiety. . Like caffeine Nicotine Sugar . Reduce these and practice resting the way that suits you. . You may be do wound up adrenaline is pumping & it feels impossible but hang on in there. Try regularly doing a guided meditation. The adrenaline is a sign your body had been stressed for a while and needs to slow adrenaline slowly then yiu will feel rest is possible. . Freeze. Some things cause lethargy like deficiency, example. Lack of iron can cause extreme tiredness, this can cause feelings of low mood. I mean if you're so tired, how will you feel about your days. Good? Or worried? Any solution? Then we choose freeze. . If you have felt lethargic for a while, try and get to your doctor for a blood test to check your vitamin and mineral levels. Can be a one month course and change if diet to help you. . Believing that you are helpess, can have you never trying and therfore no evidence that it is possible & that there could be solutions. . Practice trying & documenting what you find happens when you try anyway. . Each person is complex these are just a handful of ideas. . #cbtpractitioner #holistic .
