Many of you know, COVID has kept Char and I apart for nearly 8 months and I came to Turkey to reunite with him. If you’ve watched my stories in the past 3 weeks, you’ll know that we’ve turned our reunion holiday into a street dog feeding extravaganza. THANK YOU to the many of you who very generously pitched in some $ to help. That money has gone toward lots of kibble, bones, cookies and medicine- it has filled many bellies and kept lots of tails wagging. I am happy to report, it’s also going to help one lucky pup- THIS GUY!- fly home with me so he can live the American doggie dream! 🇺🇸 (get excited @malloryllewellyn queen of goldies 😈) This guy came from the @meleklersehridernegi - an awesome rescue, truly doing the best they can with very scant resources. He is pretty beat up- infested with fleas and has a few deep gashes, presumably from getting attacked by other dogs. Char and I are getting him great care so he can heal and be in shape to fly home and live the life he deserves- so I’ve extended my trip in order to do that. Also I want to spend more time with Char, lol. Char is the greatest, most caring person and has gladly gone along with becoming an overnight pup rescue. He drove over 12 hours just to pick this guy up without hesitation or a single complaint.❤️ Also we got engaged a few weeks ago. 💍
