Humans have been partnering with dogs for transportation throughout history – dog sledding has been around for over 4,000 years, falicitating personal transportation but also mail and medication delivery 🐺🐾 Have you ever heard the story of Balto the sled dog? In 1925, the small town of Nome in Alaska experienced a deadly outbreak of diphtheria. The closest remedy was in Anchorage, nearly 1,000 miles away.
