The first Shorties of 2023 is here! 🎥 ILẸ WA is as much a celebration of the natural world as it is an exploration of home and heritage. The short narrative film – which takes its name from the Yoruba for “our land” – follows a young Black man reconnecting to his roots. Over the course of the film – which was shot in Nigeria – we see him travel through a vibrant forest setting before arriving at the beach and submerging himself in the water, allowing the waves to wash over him in a final moment of peace.
