Comrade... Ballroom Icon Hector Xtravaganza included in the 35th anniversary retrospective of Linda Simpson’s “My Comrade” magazine at Howl Happening. Published in the late 80s and early 90s, “My Comrade” was a tongue-in-cheek glorification of NYC downtown revolutionary queer counterculture, featuring heroic drag queens and sexy guys in a cut-and-paste mishmash of articles and photo spreads.
